Mr Halvorsen is educated as a National Economist at the University of Oslo, Norway. He was certified as instructor in Acem Meditation in 1971, and has since then introduced approximately 1.000 persons to Acem Meditation.

Mr Halvorsen is currently working at KLP Insurance (the second largest insurance company in Norway) as Director and Head of the KLPs department for Industrial framework and analysis. He has previously been a reporter in Todays News in the Norwegian National Television, Senior Vice President in Saga Petroleum, Head of Information at the Ministry of Finance, and Consultant in the Norwegian Employers Confederation.
